Episode 6 of "Clash of the choirs" on Mzansi Magic was the first time a choir had to be eliminated in the contest. Awkward. The teams gave the audience their version of a song done by one of the choir masters. Quite frankly things began to be interesting at this stage because the songs could already be grouped into hits and songs. Heaven knows which of the pieces were songs and which were hits. So finally there was nothing awkward about team Gauteng being in the bottom two except that they were the host province. In a competition of this nature doing a version of that Khaya pop cum soul song is like driving from Cape to Cairo in the hope of arriving before the plane in the amazing race. Any way so they were in bottom two and they had to sing off against team Thembi. Thunder son of the clouds!!! How awkward for our very own Thembi to poorly pitch Justin Bieber's baby hit song. How little our artists know about the industry! Or are we saying local is lekker. Not sure but...
